Photon Systems Instruments (PSI) is looking for an AI & Image Analysis Specialist to join our growing Research & Development team.

Your role:

You will play a key role in shaping next-generation scientific technologies by:

• Designing and implementing computational pipelines for preprocessing, segmentation, and interpretation of large multimodal imaging datasets.
• Developing tools for testing and validation of newly developed technologies, including Raman spectroscopy and LIBS spectroscopy.
• Creating methods and tools for multimodal integration of imaging and analytical data.
• Applying advanced data science and machine learning techniques, including the development of novel analytical approaches.
• Collaborating closely with imaging sensor developers, automated phenotyping engineers, and software developers in a highly interdisciplinary environment.

What we’re looking for:

• A university degree in a technical, biomedical, or biotechnological field.
• Hands-on experience with training, validation, testing, and inference of ML models.
• Strong proficiency in Python. • Experience with MATLAB, C#, or C++ is a plus.
• A genuine passion for data analysis and automated data processing.
• Creative, analytical, and technically minded thinking.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Comfort communicating across both biological and technical disciplines.
